I am passionate about education, conservation, and engaging the public through use of social media and outreach programs.
my Mission
I dream of eventually finding my way into the employment of a museum or wildlife center, using my creativity and experiences to promote education and instill a love of learning to the general public.
Brief Work history
My work experience has been largely focused on field work and environmental education. Though my current career projection is a social media representative or a museum curator, I have spent a great deal of time working on various conservation projects. The most extensive being my work with the Nevada State Department of Wildlife. I conducted various surveys, wildlife captures, education events, data entry, and had an amazing time camping in the field and hiking the Nevada wilderness.
Much of my education experience was received during my work as an Environment and Food Security Educator for the Peace Corps. I focused my efforts on addressing Malawi’s crucial environmental and ecological issues through demonstrations, camps, and talks. Also through use of social media and this website, I aimed to teach others about Malawian culture and share my experiences of the environmental education work I completed there.
Education
I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelors in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. I put myself through school by working as a waitress and bartender, so the intricacies of customer service do not escape me!
